Classic irony of it all is that I have lived in Los Alamitos.....walking distance from the Starting Gate.....for 15 years....until about six weeks ago when I moved an hour away.

Should be a great time, I'm looking forward to it.

Jake, you don't want to do that cool little Dave Davies' solo on The Kink's "All the Day and All the Night " ?
I can't play it! I can BS something, but not as cool as what DD did.

Good to see you back, Collin W!

TO EVERYONE:
My mother and I have been talking and as much as I'd like to, I don't think I'm bringing my laptop with me on the trip, so any finalized jams and such will have to be given to me on paper when I get there or sometime today. I'm printing out my four contingents and practicing the songs tonight and tomorrow, but for finalized lists, someone must give them to me on paper when you see me.

Does anyone need a current photo of me so they know what to expect? And as much as I think I look like the guy in my avatar (Jon Cryer), I don't really look like him.

I know you have, Joey, but it's for the non FB users here who haven't seen any of my photos. Plus, I've taken like...two good ones since July. I can also arrange a specially taken shot tomorrow night of me holding the 1997.

I have printed the name badge's of the attendees that I know of. Is there anyone else's significant other, sibling, friend, band mate, child or parent that I can print a badge for? I prefer people in our group to have a name badge. Pre-printed is best for security reasons. Let me know here or in a PM please.

Have the serial numbers of your guitars ready when you come to The Staring Gate.

I try not to post in threads like this because of Joey, Paulie and Rich's unwritten rule about having to show up if you do..............anyway have fun guys and girls. I won't be there in person, but I will be there in spirit. :D

Ha! Thanks for the thought Scott but from my vantage point I reckon that you don't need me there at all. Everything is well under control and you have an abundance of very good talent attending.

T-SHIRTS!

I know it's semi late to the game. I recently quit a busy band last week and have been able to devote more time to Ricktoberfest, so I came up with a shirt design.

The shirts will be available at the Embroid Me local to the Starting Gate venue. You can order them directly from the Embroid Me. The owner there is Chris. They will be digital sublimation prints on white. The cost will be on the friendly side of $25. The shop is open on Saturday, so you can order them this week and pick them up on the way to the festivities.

Embroid Me, Cypress
10141 Valley View St
Cypress, CA 90630
(714) 828-1161

And this is the little design I came up with

Brian & I will be busy that weekend. But, play all the songs on my setlist in honor of me, anyway.

Brian, we need a setlist from you, too.

A set list eh? Hmmmm...........OK sure. Off the top of my head, these are all easy songs by various artists that I know how to play and sing. But I won't be there.

Crazy Over You - Colin James
Hoochie Coochie Man - Muddy Waters
Walking The Dog - Rufus Thomas
You Shook Me - Jeff Beck
Rock My Plimsoul - Jeff Beck
Still Got The Blues - Gary Moore
Good Times Bad times - Led Zeppelin
Sunshine of Your Love - Cream
Georgia on My Mind - Ray Charles
Thirty Days in The Hole - Humble Pie
Tales of Brave Ulysses - Cream
China Girl - David Bowie
Sitting On Top of The World - Howlin' Wolf
Crossroads - Robert Johnson
You're So Good for Me - Humble Pie
Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo - Rick Derringer
C'mon Everybody - Humble Pie

Take your pick from those.......................

Scott - Great shirt!

Jake - You don't need your computer...you're staying at a hotel in California (or is that Hotel California  ) Anyway, most hotels have computers in their lobbies for the guests along with printers, so you may be able to log in to the forum that way.

Well, for Jake to gather updates on this thread he will not need to log in...only if he wants to post to the thread.
