Here's a tune from our debut album to be released next month. Featuring my former Ric, the '95 JG 4003.

Didn't understand a word of the vocals but the music was good!!! The bass sounded good. What do you mean by 'former'?, did you get rid of the bass? keep us posted on the release.

Sounds great, Ilker!
Re: Zift, the Turkish rock band...
Thanks
Yeah, former means I sold the bass. I recently use a 4001V63 ('99, JG). It's got the 0047 cap installed on the HS pickup. I love it anyway but they are somehow different soundwise. I sometimes miss the 4003.

Re: Zift, the Turkish rock band...
Great driving rhythm to the tune. The bass really shines nicely, especially in the middle break-down. How was the bass recorded?
Re: Zift, the Turkish rock band...
Thanks Mark...
It was recorded at our keyboard player's home studio. The Rickosound output went into a two-channel Rupert Neve compressor feeding a two-channel Great River preamp. Then into Logic through a Benchmark converter. No amps, no miking... Each pickup was recorded into a separate channel.
The mix was done in a very reputable studio here in Istanbul (http://www.babajim.com), using an "in-the-box + analog" setup including Protools HD routed into a Rupert Neve 5088 console. The bridge pickup channel was duplicated, the bass frequencies were cut and overdriven using the Sansamp plugin. So, the bass you hear is a mix of three channels (two clean channels plus an overdriven channel).

Re: Zift, the Turkish rock band...
Cool to know Ilker- I've been wanting to try something similar, maybe 5 tracks - ROS - 2 DI (one from each pup) 2 mic'ed cab and a room mic - then playing with the mix....
