Hardware for 4003 and Humbuckers

Post by coolhandjjl »

For the brave adventurous few who have done this, what sort of hardware do I need to get the height correct? Is there a hardware kit in the Ric humbucker package, or am I left to searching out miscellaneous parts on the web?

It's the same as installing any other RIC pickup except you may need to run a small drill bit through the mounting holes so they can accept a machine screw. They are made for wood screws which "bite" harder than machine screws. Alternatively, switch the pickup surrounds out for machine-screw based covers if you can pull that off.
