Anyone bought the Bridge Pickup Plate from pickguarian for their 4003 s ?

I was just wondering if anyone else had tried them on a 4003? i quite like the look of these.

I ordered a set of guards from Pick Guardian weeks ago.
They took my money quick enough but I've not heard a peep since and no replies to emails either.
I'm not impressed. :evil:

Rob im sure Tony will get back to you as soon as he is back.ive dealt with tony a few times and ive had no complaints.........

He's returning on the 12th? Of what, November?
There is no mention on the web site, or when you place an order that he closes the whole thing down to go on vacation.

Don't worry, Rob, Tony is very much a reputable guy, I have met with him many times. He is a one man (and wife) operation and might get bogged down occasionally. I have been fortunate enough to drop a bass off with him a couple times on a Friday afternoon and pick up the finished pickguard on Sunday on my way back home from a visit to friends/family in Columbus. He even co-sponsored our Columbus Confluence in May '05! :D

It seem our lot (Rickenbacker-ers) is to sometimes wait... as in ordering one. But seriously Tony is nothing but good to work with. If there is a reason as to why you have not been re-contacted it is probably a good one. Personally I don't advertise to the world when I go on vacation or will be away from the homested. Just doesn't seem smart to me.

Nor does it seem smart business practice to take an order, and the customers money, then go away on holiday and worry about it when you get back. :roll:
Anyhow, just got an email saying the order has been sent, so there is a happy ending in sight. :)

Did you place the order on-line? If so, it is probably an automated thing so that Tony need not be there to monitor things. I have always talked with him on the phone (something quite understandable that you can not do, at least for minimal cost), so I have never ordered from Tony on-line, therefor I am only making a guess as to the process.
