Both have refrets, new paint and guards, new plating and hardware in SS, reworked wiring (#1 has push-pull mod), new FWCPM. FG has new binding.

There are some lucky guys looking out for the post this week. That deep burgundy 4001 is exactly my "dream" bass. Fantastic work Paul.

Beautiful work as usual, Paul.

I have a question though: The Wavy Grovers in the photo above seem to have a spiral pattern along the outer edges of the box. What's up with that? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Um, yeah, interesting observation. My '84 with Wavy Grovers just has straight bars...

They're originals, but Asian ("exploding")variations, as the pin swages were all bad and wouldn't even peen over--I had to drill and tap them for tiny screws to hold them together.
