Hold on; there's a clear distinction between Joey's and Tony's avatars:
Joey's sings the praises of Jetglo, while Tony's mocks Joey's preference.
However, the defense could argue that Joey's avatar was mocking Tony's preference, rather than actually singing the priases of Jetlglo. Joey would counter that while there is a gentle element of humor in poling fun at tony's preference, Joey's overriding goal was singing the praises of Jetglo. . . .
Oh wait, this isn't an exam. Sorry.

Hey..... wait a minute.......
Re: Do they have AA for Rick bass owners . . .
i agree,i have tried a lot of different basses over the decades, and keep coming back to the rickenwaffen. i am soooo in love with the sound and feel of my 2,and i do also believe the way the basses are made and sound causes you to take a different approach in your playing. i have a jazz and a hollowbody dano bass that i like, but they just don't have "it". actually i think this forum may just be the rickaholics synonomous club in disguise?

Hi...my name is Mike and I am a Ric-o-haulic.
It's been about a year since I last set foot in these forums.
It's been hard, too, because this is my all time favorite on-line discussion board.
Why is it my favorite?
1. Because it's a civil and (mostly
) mature place to chat about what many agree are the best-sounding bass guitars ( yes, I realize there are guitar forums as well, but I don't care...
)
2. Because I have met some wonderful people here, who generously share their knowledge and experience so that "junior" members can get answers to their questions and/or problems
3. Because it is hosted by a guy (thanks again, Peter) who has a boat-load of class and the desire to help everyone enjoy a safe and friendly place to hang out
4. Because it's a brand-specific forum that has, as an active member - the CEO of the company. If ever there is a deciding "opinion" or fact required, nobody is better qualified to do that than John Hall himself
With that said, then why do I come for a while then go away for months at a time?
1. Because inevitably, somebody will be offering up for sale my next dream bass...
To a normal guy, this would be a very good thing.
But, I have a huge desire to accumulate Rickenbacker basses... I just don't have the resources to buy all the ones I want. So for me, as in the real AA, "one is too many and a thousand isn't enough"
Well, actually one or two - or even 10 is OK...but you get the idea.
Yes, it's very, very sad, but I don't look for your sympathy...
I am just hoping you may understand my situation, and that you might forgive what may seem to be an unfriendly manner when I go disappearing from time to time.
Thank you fer listening.

Welcome back, Mike! +1 on all that.
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: Do they have AA for Rick bass owners . . .
Hey Mike, welcome back! And to our AA meetings.
I am up to 6 and whenever I think of thinning, I get them out and there are too many reasons to keep each one and I forget about moving any.
It is a sickness......
