Nah, the headstock would break off after the first blow and that would ruin your grip...

It's from some TV show, one of the characters had a Rickenbacker with a rip chord on the back that they used like a weapon. I remember it from years ago.

I dunno... looks like a fake to me...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I know from personal experience that a Telecaster is the best instrument/weapon. In the mid 60's we were playing at an off-limits club outside the main gate of an Air Force base. It was right out of the Blues Bros., with chicken wire in front of the stage to protect us from flying bottles.dpowell wrote:Somehow I think a Les Paul Custom might be more useful...
There was a set of steps on each side of the stage. One of our drummers was flirting with a girl all night long. Finally, her boyfriend came charging up the steps on my side with fire in his eyes. As he passed me, I snatched the Tele (backup to my Strat) off the stand, gripped the neck with my best former Little League Allstar grip, and swung for the back of his head. He dropped like a rock! Then I realized how fortunate I was that I hit him with the flat back. If I'd hit him with side or edge, I'd be writing this from my cell.

Re: I knew RICs were versatile...
Besides, with a Tele, one can always bolt on a replacement for a snapped off neck. . . .
