JIM CLENCH from april wine fame died a few days ago in montreal at 61 years. my cuz sent me this notice as i was trying to contact clench on the year and info of the 4000 he had in a promo pic. guess i'll never find out for you guys.

Sux , I dug April Wine. They had a unique but tight rock sound.

i liked the electic jewels/stand back era with clench. during that time he had a '72/'73 ish jetglo 4001. deluxe checker for sure.

Wow, very sad - I always liked his playing. In not sure how big they were outside of Canada, but for someone growing up here in the 70s and 80s, April Wine was one of those bands that made up the soundtrack of your life.

April Wine was definitely part of my soundtrack too. RIP Jim... :(

This one was always one of my favorites (though I think Jim had left the band by then).
