Off the cuff #1

Post by ozover50 »

You know how sometimes something clicks and you're on your way?

My band "Fine Wines" rehearsed last Saturday and for some reason we went into "Chitlins Con Carne" when we were mucking around a bit . Done it once or twice but never seriously..... and this is the case this time.

The mix is off and there's too much bottom end but hey........ it was "off the cuff". One time, one take, not a pro in sight. Get through the first verse and it starts to move along a bit.

The trusty 360v64/6 (neck pickup only) doing the rhythm bit in the right channel

I'd be interested to hear your comments.....

Rock-solid band there aitch! The lead player channels JJ Cale at times, the rhythm section is tight and the feel is spot-on. Tweak the mix as you say and it's perfect! :D

Hey Aitch,

That was very impressive. The rhythm section is nice and tight and your v64 did a great job for you. Love the overall vibe. :D

Sweet! I was tapping my foot all the way through. I love those blues/jazz groove tunes like that one.
