It's amazing how little changed the final version is from this demo
It's a great video but I don't think it's a demo performed during the recording of Revolver. This looks like it was done years later judging by Paul's appearance as well as the shot of the console on the recording desk. Also, according to Alan Civil, the soloist who played french horn, the solo was not composed in advance but worked out with him in the studio the day he recorded it.

Thanks, Andy! I love that record and movie because it was the first time (1984) he returned to doing Beatles stuff since the breakup. Not to mention a few great new songs, too: Bad Boy, No Values, No More Lonely Nights, etc.

Just PM me and I'll tell you where to send my prize, OK?

Er, sorry... I saw him at the Kingdome in '76 and he did Yesterday, Lady Madonna, Blackbird, The Long and Winding Road, and I've Just Seen a Face. (OK, I had to look a few of those up but remembered the first three! :D ).

Oh, OK. Thanks. I learn something every day here. :)

I always wondered when was the earliest that he played "Helter Skelter" on his own...

Happy Monday everyone,

Here's a couple of cool pics I found from one of my favorite sites, http://meetthebeatlesforreal.blogspot.com/

George Meets Bob Marley
On July 13, 1975 at the Roxy Theatre in L.A. Bob Marley met George Harrison.
According to the photographer that was there, Kim Gottlieb-Walker, this is what happened.

"Bob and George were both thrilled to be meeting each other. Jeff Walker had heard
that Goerge loved Marley's music and because the president of Island Records,
Charley Nuccio, was instrumental in bringing The Beatles to America in the '60's,
he gave George a call and invited him to the Roxy. Needless to say, as Bob's publicist,
Jeff wanted that shot of them meeting because he knew it would get world-wide coverage.
When told that George was coming backstage, Bob visibly lit up and said, "Ras Beatle!!"
and thought the conversation was short, it was a mutual admiration moment between
two of the greatest musical talents of the time I was struggling with a dying flash battery
so only got a few shots out of the five-minute meeting."

Yes indeed. That was the Wings Over America tour and all five of those songs were featured on that triple LP (on sides two and three). They were definite highlights.

Not bad, easy for travel... bit if anyone plans on getting one be sure to take off the bolt-on top part which is completely useless.
this piece just gets in the way and defeats the purpose of the compact guitar

Taken during his last ever interview on December 6, 1980 in which he said he felt safe and comfortable in New York:
