Lowest price I could reasonably hope to find a 4003 at?

Post by kingblud »

Hi all, I am considering getting a new/barely used 4003 bass to go along with my 330. I am not experienced in the pricing of this model, however, and was hoping to know what prices I should look for. I see most stores and ebay listings around $1600-1700 or so, but in my experience with the guitars side of the Ric spectrum, prices like this may be high. I want to establish a good mental price to shop around for, so I am not sleeping on a great deal due to unreasonable expectations. Thanks for the help!

It depends how fast you want it and if you are willing to wait. Local Craigslist is always a good place to get deals. You might get a 4003 for less than a grand. There are deals out there.

It's not hard work to get a new 4003 for around $1650 just about anywhere, even less if you spend a day or two shopping around.

I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to say publicly what the price is for a new Rick and what the dealer's name is.
