Thanks for the welcome! I have been catching up on a wealth of amazing information contained in the archives of this site. Great information about these amazing instruments. I see why these basses are so addicting.

You DO need a backup, a backup for your backup is a good idea too. Then another so you can have a RIC setup with FLATS, don't forget one with ROUND WOUNDS. One for alternate tuning, etc...etc....do I paint an unrealistic picture here? :roll: :wink: :twisted: :lol:
