Heights Guitar is alive and well in Cleveland Hts, OH
Good news! Heights Guitars, in Cleveland Hts. is live and well! This shop is my favorite in North Eastern Ohio, and us locals were worried it might go out of business when the owner, Greg Stiles passed away last year. But some great people bought it out and saved it. They kept the same friendly vibe and are adding new stock and lines. The service department is still first rate, too. I just came back from getting my Rickenbacker 330-6 set up there and they did a great job on it. Okay, they don't sell Rickenbacker, but lots of other great guitars and they do service Rickenbackers. So go check them out!

Neat. I bought a blackface Fender Vibratone there.

This afternoon was the first time in a long time that I drove by there and it said "OPEN"!
Here is a photo of Jason with the Vibratone, bought earlier that afternoon.

Hey, I was there when Jason bought that - sounded super with that old Rick. Now I know what store your talking about. They had a lot of cool old gear too.

They have 3 people working there now. I think they will now be open all the time. The manager is a girl. Very nice and very knowledgeable. She loves Rickenbackers!jps wrote:This afternoon was the first time in a long time that I drove by there and it said "OPEN"!![]()

I got nothing important going on this afternoon, maybe I'll stop by there.

Thanks for the heads up that Heights Guitar has reopened. I've done most of my business with Dick Sodja over the years, but I made one of my best purchases ever at Heights Guitar. That's where I got my mint condition used 1991 Rickenbacker 330/12, for a really amazing price (just $600 because of the color). I've grown very attached to that guitar since 1997 when I purchased it, and it is my most played electric right now. I was never impressed with the customer service at Heights Guitar, but maybe under the new management things will be different. I'll have to stop by one of these days.
