Thanks Skip but I just realised that I left Lou Gramm off the list...............he has to be in the top 10. His vocal stylings incorporate old fashioned crooning with hard rock edge. A man with perfect pitch and a delivery that send chills down your spine. He would probably sit in 10th spot for me.

Even though I don't really care much for the music of Journey, I must say that Steve Perry is another brilliant singer that some might consider top ten material.

There's just no way I could even begin to pick 10 and put them at the top...

Yeah, I probably could, but I'm sure it would change from day to day depending on what I'm in the mood to be listening to...

Too hard to put one's favorites in a top 10 list. A top would be 25 difficult.

Tom Jobin. That name took me a minute to realise who he was.

His collaboration with Stan Getz and the quality of his compositions provided to the album Getz/Gilberto is what I remember him for. "The Girl From Ipanema" is probably one of his best remembered tunes.

TGFI was written by Tom and Vinicius DeMoraes while sitting at an outdoor cafe in Ipanema, a couple of blocks from the beach, while they watched a young and well-ogled local girl, Helo Pinto, walk by on her way to the beach. Helo became famous in Rio and at one time ran for mayor.

Vinicius was at one time the Brasilian Vice-Consul in Los Angeles, and was known for taking meetings while in his bath, cigar in mouth. Quite a character.
