That's too funny Jingle Jangle, I can hear the salesman now, "You know, those are actually finely tuned tone chambers with custom sustain plates over them that were designed by a guy at NASA for maximun resonance and tone in any atmosphere. It's a custom one off, so it's a steal at 10 grand."

They will let you hold the instrument with supervision. Hence protecting their "valuable" stock. Fair enough, they DO have a few very nice pieces.
Not true. I stopped by while in Vegas last weekend. They'll let you "plug it in". They just ask that you get them to take the guitar off the wall for you because, as one of the employees put it, "Ed is just weird that way."

This 4004L plays nicely. Too bad about that ugly black plastic cover though. Asking price is $1599.

Hmmm...The price is reasonable.

Did you (also) try to beat it into their skulls that this is in fact a Laredo and not a Cheyenne?!

Seems like Ed has a history here. :?
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!
