Re: My 4004Cjj
Well, there's a schematic of what I've currently got on the first page of this thread. The HB-1 schematic in on the RIC site:

But a schematic for your Mrs. (or mine for that matter), well, I'm not sure anyone could ever figure that out...

Beautiful flame!
Now we know who has all the flamed Rics.
Now we know who has all the flamed Rics.
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!
Re: My 4004Cjj
I'm really late coming to the game on this thread, but regarding the 4002 mods, why not have a 3-position switch for .0047(4001/3)|bypass|.01(4002)?
Regarding having both .01 caps for both pickups on at the same time, I spun a thread into the philosophical stratosphere on the phasing and instability to the tone this caused on my 4002. I now prefer to have the neck pickup straight through and the bridge pickup only with the .01. I like that combination so much I also adopted that wiring on my custom fanned fret bass with an HB1.

You know, I was looking around other sections of the forum and stumbled across a thread that has the bass that you bought on ebay. That is one fine looking instrument you have there mister. The back is as beautiful as the front.cjj wrote:Well, yeah...Ric N. Backer wrote:Beautiful flame!![]()

Lucky you!!
It was kind of funny reading through the thread and discovering that it was you who purchased the bass.
May I say that is a fine family portrait you have.

He didn't even wipe the fingerprints off the mapleglo 4003 bridge pickup cover and surround before taking the pic. See, CJ does want a Jetglo!Ric N. Backer wrote:I trust it's been treated to a coat of Zymol
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Re: My 4004Cjj
That has got to be the best grain I've ever seen on a Ric. I've really been disappointed with the grain I see on new models from the dealers who show pics of the actual bass they are selling. The new grain is either dead, or has some weird wood blem on one end of it. Before Ric considers adding a new bass or a re-issue bass, I'd like to see them address this first.

Where do I go to find that section of the forum? There must be tons of pics of all types of Rics!
