1963 4000 REGISTER COMPARISONS...

funny how the oct '63 in the register has the lat '50's headstock design, yet the feb '63 has the mid '60's style...was the oct. forgotten under a bench ? wish there was a pic of the april.

Cool. Love them 4000 basses :D

What do you suppose happened to the finish on that one 4000? It's all funked-up.
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

IIRC, it had been the victim of a fire. So, what you see there is a true Fireglo finish.
