Um, I am not sure when they went to 2-piece necks. I will defer to someone on here more knowledgable than I, but if it was manufactured in 2010, it should have a two-piece neck. I guess I was under the impression that 4003FL's weren't being made past 2008. Wow, so there might be some 2-piece neck 4003FL's out there.

The announcement that FLs were placed on hiatus was made December 13, 2007: http://www.rickenbacker.com/news_item.a ... ews=recent. Mine's a July '08; it seems unlikely that many or any were made after early '09, but one never knows. Tony posted a thread here about a dealer taking delivery of a FL a few months ago, so it's hard to know when that one was made or if the web information was current when he saw it.

Not a lot less since I bought it less than a year ago. But that particular dealer had 2 FLs at the time, my AFG and a BlueBurst. The BBR is now gone too, so I'm guessing his supply is now depleted...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I looked at one (BBR), but it was $2600 and I just couldn't come up with the cash. It was stunning, but I feel I did well with my MG as it is nicely figured on the body and especially the fretboard and it was a grand cheaper!
