I suppose that means it would take a FEW to trade for your ONE one-off. :?

But, seriously, which ones that I have would get you thinking?
Aw man, let's not even go there... 8)

If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

Hmm. I do have gold tuners from a 2050 that I got from Dane also . . .

You're right, Dane, I meant the new Schaller bridge. I must have a tuner running through my head.

There's something Freudian going on here. I wonder what Sigmund would say?

I think the gold Schaller/RIC vintage tuners would not only look better on your bass, but would be more functional due to their greater accuracy because of their higher gear ratio. I would do a test fit first because some 4004 headstocks are narrower than 4003 headstocks, causing the tuner plate to show from the front. The holes are just slightly bigger for the vintage tuners too. Go slow when enlarging the hole since the vintage bushing is a press fit.

Thanks, Dane, but no, I won't be puting the vintage tuners on the 4004. However, the gold vintage tuners I got from you will go on a project bass someday. The benefit of the turning ratio on one tuner to another means little to me. My basses need tuning so seldom that a slight tweak now and then is no effort.

What's all the fuss, not as if it were Fireglo

Joking aside, that's a nice looking combination Paul, although my favourite of yours is the Minky

in defense of the mini schallers standard on my cii, i seldom have to make more than minute adjustments on my bass,it is usually in tune most times-and it does get used regularly!
