Post by jack1953 »

Merry Christmas to all!

Anyone know where I can get a replacement label for this control knob?

I had the same thing. I just ordered a new knob set from POTR and transplanted the insert.

Thanks Spike! I just ordered a set of four for 20 bucks!

Would it be easier to change the knob itself rather than transplant?

Oh, definitely. It just depends on how concerned you are with keeping the original knob housing. You could just put the old ones away somewhere, like in your guitar case, and use the new set on the guitar. Everything from POTR is genuine Ric parts.

You're a Buying & Selling Machine of late!
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

Yes, it seems because of the holidays and tough economic times, folks are selling stuff at 'give away' prices. Most folks I've run into, don't want sell on Ebay and know that I do. Kills 2 birds with one stone and gives me a little spending money for Starbucks! I am a Starbucksaholic!!

How do these knobs on the Rics come off?

There should be a small hole in one side of the knob with a little flathead screw inside. Loosen that and it slips off.
