Re: RIC special colors?
Blueburst was a RIC color of the year in 2006.... my 350V63 is a factory Blueburst, and my 481 is a Paul W. refin in a specially mixed shade of blue. As far as I know, the recent green Rics are all refins except for one or two very rare factory one-offs. Back in the 50's RIC had a color called "Cloverfield Green," which is a dark teal-green color. I believe that in recent years RIC also had a transparent blue finish that was only available on the Cii basses.

Or do you mean these guys?

I think they were just a factory experiment. It was the late 60's, after all...

Could be wrong, but I think John Hall said those were bought and done by some other paint shop. This came up when a similar 330 was for sale a while ago. It was the one Olivia's bought for way too much, they did a hail mary bid which was almost matched and they had to eat it.dpowell wrote:Or do you mean these guys?

Great Ramp In My Opinion.
Re: RIC special colors?
Well, he said there was only one done by RIC, but the rest were done elsewhere, by Al Molinaro...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Thanks for the clarification... couldn't recall exactly what the story was.cjj wrote:Well, he said there was only one done by RIC, but the rest were done elsewhere, by Al Molinaro...
