Bone nut?

Post by 0018g »

I've received my 370/12, and I'm going to cut a new nut for it. I've always used bone in the past, and I have plenty on hand, but....

Will bone be too bright, tonally, and..

Will white look funny?

Thanks. I ordered some black buffalo horn or some such thing, and I think I'll give that a go. If it turns out ok, I'll post pictures.
