Rickenbacker Spanish Model (SP)

Post by 8mileshigh »

Anybody know much about these beasts?? It needs a little work. The block inlays are missing. Any suggestions for what material may have been used for these? Also the tailpiece and bridge don't look original - again any suggestions where I might find proper parts? All feedback gratefully received........

Nice find. I would say that the tailpiece and bridge are original, at least as much as I can see from the photos you have provided. Have a look at the photos here. Please keep us posted and take some detailed photos.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks Peter, The bridge just looks too new to me and the tailpiece is bolted on rather badly. It shouldn't take too much to bring it back to its full glory though - I'll post some better pictures when I can. Thanks for your help.
