Did anyone catch Bruuuuuuuuuce Springsteen on Jimmy Fallon on 11/16??
Stevie Van Zandt is playing a JetGlo Rick on "Save My Love".
It looks like a 660/12 JG, I think.
It's on YouTube; I would post it but I'm technologically challenged.

620 Sighting
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .
Re: 620 Sighting
yes it was a great appearance. Bruce and The Roots together worked extremely well. That 620 Steve has has been used on all the tours since the Reunion in 1999. It's used on Out In The Street in the NYC dvd to great effect.

Re: 620 Sighting
In german magazine "Guitar Dreams" there are two pictures of Van Zandt with Rick. The magazine says Steve uses two Fenders and the Rickenbacker are main guitars.
The mag describes it as (translated from german to english by me for you free of charge
):
...a Rickenbacker, which shows design-features of several series. The basics and the finish in elegant black ("Jetglo" in Rickenbacker-terminology) are that of the solidbody model 620, toaster pick-ups and hardware, however, are from the 660/12 (although he plays it as a 6-string) and the lower-only pickguard of the simpler 650-series.
I already mentioned this on my FB page - Ron commented on it as it being a 660.
I'm still not sure if the german magazine got the info from Steve himself, or made it up themselves!?!

What guitars have you been playing onstage lately?
I mostly play Stratocasters. I also play a Rickenbacker 12-string—usually the Tom Petty model [the 660/12TP], which has a wider neck. I don’t know how Roger McGuinn from the Byrds and those old guys that played Rickenbackers did it. It’s very hard to fit your fingers on that neck. During the show I might play 10 different guitars, but mostly it’s the Stratocasters and the Rickenbacker.

Re: 620 Sighting
When I saw Little Steven play his Rick on SNL a few years back I though it was a 660 as the 620 had yet to return to full width inlays.
