Re: The full six
Ooh, nice family Christmas pic!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Garreth, that's a 4008 Fireglo, right? You and I need to talk photos!

Re: The full six
Very cool indeed.
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

WOW Gareth!!!!!
SWEET collection!!!!!!
Nice 8-string!!!! Looking at it, I thought it was a 4003s8. But it has been identified as a 4008.
How do you tell the difference????

Re: The full six
A 4008 has binding, non-rickenbacker stringing (octave first), a slightly different headstock, a two piece neck and early 4003 type trussrods (reversed 4001 rods), slightly more skeletial tailpiece and will have the bass cut cap in place. I can't be certian but the 4008 may have been the beginings of the 4003....Lefty4003S8 wrote:WOW Gareth!!!!!![]()
