Hi all,
First post here (...and I need something to post about to get my post count up). I have some dead Hi-gains from my 1976 4001. They haven't worked for almost 20 years, and haven't been in a bass for almost 10. It sounds to me like Sergio is the master when it comes to pickup rewinds...so I have been PMing with him.
However, I have never shipped anything internationally before. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to pack and ship the pickups from the US to Portugal?
Sergio seems like a nice enough guy (Hi Sergio)....I am just uneasy about the process of sending pickups overseas because I am a total novice.
If anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
jc

Re: 4001 pickup rewind and international shipping
I've shipped twice to Sergio. I stuck the PU in a small box and sent it via USPS. Probably cost only a couple of bucks for postage. I didn't use any custom forms etc. He gets them no problem.

Because this is his forum. There are others who do this kind of work. http://classicamplification.net/Pickups/Rick_pickup.htmMrBasseyPants wrote:... It sounds to me like Sergio is the master when it comes to pickup rewinds...so I have been PMing with him....
