Picked up a TS-9 yesterday. Overdrive has more clarity than fuzz. Yes, it's distorted anyway, but it's better than fuzz. The Tube Screamer will do all the crunchy chords while the Fuzz Face will do those snarling leads.

I have a Voodoo Labs Sparkledrive which is basically a Tubescreamer with a control to blend the clean signal back in. I find this works extrememly well with my 360/12VP.

Lovepedal Eternity Fuse.

And the Keeley is the best compressor around. His modified version of the TS-9 is also the best.

Overdrive "better" than fuzz? No, just different. Like saying a wrench is better than pliers - its simply a different tool.

While on the subject, A Keeley modified Boss DS-1 has been on the pedalboard of many great players for quite some time now....

There's also the Boss OD-1, which is essentially a TS-9 without the tone control. I used both of them in my chain at one stage, with the boss being a bit crunchier.
