Indeed he sounds nothing like Paul. Musically, solid. Vocally, very weak as much as it pains me to say.

I bought his EP on ITunes. He's not bad at all and if he wasn't the son of a Beatle and subject to comparison he might get a more objective review. His voice is weak, to my ears but I do like his music.

My opinion is that if he wasn't Paul's son we wouldn't be discussing him at all.scottpro1969 wrote:I bought his EP on ITunes. I like this number quite a bit; solid, hooky pop, IMO, and I must be the only one who hears a bit of his dad in his singing.

I hear it also Paul. It's there but very feint. I have listened to a few of his live videos and his voice is even weaker than the studio recorded work proves. His piano playing is not bad though.paologregorio wrote:I like this number quite a bit; solid, hooky pop, IMO, and I must be the only one who hears a bit of his dad in his singing.

Is that him on guitar? I do hear some of his dad in the vocals. With dads chops on piano I am not surprised he plays piano well. Let him carry on a bit and see how it turns out. Mark

Yeah, ditto that. Not sure about his age, but he hasn't done the endless 5 gigs a night shows in Hamburg to add the strength and stamina to his voice that pops has.

Yea Paul, that's what I'm thinking. Let's hold off a bit and see what happens. After all, it's not like there aren't people in his life that he could get some input from, right? Mark

He isn't bad and it must be impossible when you are compared to your musical legend dad. Man he sure has his dad's face though doesn't he? wow.

Dead ringer for his dad. Mark

I'd like to hear a few more songs. Seems to have a decent powerpop feel going on there.
