Autumn-Glo or Walnut?

I did some "me-tailing" this Christmas past - a 1977 4001! It's either Autumn-Glo or Walnut.

Two questions:

1. Is there a way to figure out which of the two finishes it is?

2. If it is Walnut, is it ok to give it the (original) Scratch X + Zymol treatment??
Or is Walnut a matte finish??

" Among the 'special' colors available for the 480 series guitars, Autum Glo(AUTUM) and Walnut(WAL)
are often mistaken as being the same. Autum Glo on the 480 series represented a flat matte finish,
where Walnut designated the same color and burst, but in a traditional lacquered finish."

Non so se per il 4001 sarebbe lo stesso.

Thanks for the direction. Searched and found a bit of info.

I think my '77 4001 may be an Autumn-Glo, a matte finish.
It has a black pickguard and faceplate, and does NOT seem to have any gloss to it's finish.

I'm thinking:

Dr. Stringfellows lemon fretboard conditioner to clean the fretboard.
Brillianze plastic cleaner everywhere else. Paul W had recommended Brillianze for my c64s (also a matte finish).

Does this make sense???
