That's because you guys have never been to Tony's house or at least had a phone conversation with him.

I'll explain:

CJ is a rugged man who lives where it actually get freezing cold in the winter. He has a hot tub that he keeps heated and uses even in freezing weather:
Guest: "CJ, my Scotch needs more ice!"
CJ: "Reach over the edge of the hot tub, grab a chunk of snow, and drop it in your glass!"

Tony lives in Florida on waterfront property subject to flooding and hurricanes, populated by retirees, a crazy plethora of bugs, and gators aplenty. He also has a hot tub that he uses in weather considered too cold for weather-sissified Southern Californians such as myself.

Joey is a transplant from the Bronx, who keeps parrots, and has acclimated to mild, So Cal weather.

The newspapers are for the parrots, should Joey bring them along on his next visit to Tony's, hopefully in warm weather so Joey doesn't catch a chill trying to match CJ's ruggedness by taking a hot tub dip in weather below 65 degrees; anything below 65 degrees is officially cold by Southern California standards.

AFAIK, the RIC booth at NAMM will not have a hot tub, a COY, or an anniversary model. . .
