For $20k, I'd rather have a pair of 4004LK basses like yours!

What is that on the back of the neck? There's an oval-shaped witness line that looks like either a repair job or there used to be a sticker there. :?: :?

OH MY GOD! And it's under $20,000.00. That's my limit. I can get it! Hurray!!

But I won't.

You'd never know, from some of these postings, that we were in an economic recession.

The person is probably targeting a market audience that's immune from the economic realities currently devastating most working class stiffs. :(

If only Bernie hadn't squandered so much of my hard-earned coin. :x
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

Hey, buy this one instead and save yourself $5,000.00

Mapleglo makes Homer drool.

Or, get this fixer-upper for $3,500.00

And least we forget this 4005 Autumnglo (that's what he states it is) for $11,000.00

See mates, there's plenty of 4005 basses to go around. I suspect we'll see more, too.

Hey, what do you know... This one's only $9,800.00, but I'm sure they'd let it go for $7,500.00

http://www.gbase.com/gear/rickenbacker- ... 74-natural

For about $50,000.00 you can own them all! Woopeeeee

If I had the $'s, I'd be after a RM or super nice '60's 4001.

What an old boat show!

Many think the day for top dollar here is possibly past, as the market still remains weak. We shall see!

For some of the prices asked here, an RM 1999 or 60's 4001 is surely a better option, as this remains a truly iconic bass, something the 4005 will never be.
