I just received my new 360/12, and I couldn't be happier! The guitar plays and sounds amazing. There's only one minor issue that I just noticed. The tuning knob for the low course on the G-pair is so tight that I can barely turn it. The guitar is staying in tune like a rock, with the exception of that low G string. Is there any simple solution to this problem?

Re: Tuner Problems
Is the G string (!) properly wound around the tuner? Can it move freely through the nut?
Re: Tuner Problems
Thanks so much for your response. I believe the string is properly wound around the tuner. How would I tell if it's moving freely through the nut?

Re: Tuner Problems
Try to unwind it and take the string out entirely (if you are actually able to do so). They you can (1) check whether the tuning machinery by itself (without string) functions properly and you can (2) fit the string in the nut to see whether or not it fits too snugly. In either case, it is important to get professional help in fixing the problem. The instrument is still under warranty?

Re: Tuner Problems
Thanks, Kees. The instrument is so new that I've just sent the warranty card in and haven't heard back from the folks at Rickenbacker yet. I purchased the guitar from Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks and have had it exactly one week. I'll try to take it in to my local guitar tech today and see what the problem is. Your advice is much appreciated!

Re: Tuner Problems
Well, my local tech adjusted the guitar in about five minutes, and everything seems to be okay! I did get a nice e-mail from Chris Clayton, too. Now that things are in working order, I need to buckle down and start recording.
