No way! You were in Blood Circus?

I love that song (and film).

I hear Nirvana opened for you guys their first show in Seattle (1988). Sorry for the reference, but I think that's super cool. :)

Thanks Collin. Yes it is true that Nirvana's first show in Seattle was opening for the Fluid and Blood Circus. Kurt still had his old Japanese Mosrite copy (I think it was a Univox) and Christ was playing a Pan precision bass. I swear to God I think Kurt's amp was a Silvertone. Chaz was playing those real odd bent tube drums where the rack toms bent at the bottom to point forward - they were kinda popular in those days, I forget what they were called. While their equipment was "eccentric" even then we knew that they were the sh#t - Kurt reeked of success and had a combination of arrogance and confidence that was unnerving.

By the time Hype! was filmed BC had broken up to reform briefly for filming when the CD was released. Before the break up and North American tour the "Primal Rock Therapy" EP had been released after incredibly agonizing delays. Honestly, I think once they realized how un-serious we were about being rock stars, Sub Pop only kept us around as a tax write off.

all right..... If we're taking a stagger down 90's Northwest memory lane, what what ever happened to Coffin Break, I think Rob played a 4003 didn't he? and I know for a fact that Scooter from Voodoo Gearshift & 12:30 Dreamtime did.
man oh man, Blood Circus, as Obi Wan said to young Luke, " Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time...a long time."
who next ?? Hammerbox??? Pounding Serfs????

Rob did play a Ric. When we gigged with them he had a pretty nice precision. Last I heard those guys still jam. If we're talking NW we have to bring our charred offerings to the alter of The Wipers and NomeansNo as well.
