Can I play? I mean, can I show off this bass again?
My May '73 4001MG was favorite...(top)
until Dale Fortune worked his magic on the '72 4001MG formerly owned by Marc...now a Montezuma brown or Walnut (bottom)

Today I was putting my Fender Bassman TV Ten amp through the paces. I plugged in my 4001C64 and DAMN!!! Amazing tone! At this moment, my C64 is my fave bass to play!

What's this? Another 4001C64 convert! :D

I was playing mine today, too, but through my Ampeg BR2E and 4-10 bottom.

Swweeeeeeeeet!
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

1990. I have 2 that were manufactred within a few months apart from each other. The one pictured I bought brand new from Banana's at Large in San Rafael, CA. The other one is with Paul W. getting some work done. I bought it used and it apprears someone decided to hang it up on display. Thats the good news. The bad news is that the nailed a couple of holes in the wall and slapped the bass up on the wall. It left some pretty nice gouges in the headstock.

Favourite bass to play - my JG 4003 for sure.

Bass I'm playing most at the moment - Squier Classic Vibe Precision. Never thought I'd say this about a Squier - but everything I read about these is true. Awesome!

Even though I always feel like I should be playing the Ric.....!

This seems like a good thread to make my first post!

It seems like my favorite one to play changes from time to time but lately I'm in love with my new-to-me '72 4001. Prior to getting it I was playing my Musicman Clutlass primarily but I think it may have officially lost it's "top spot" status to the Rick.
