Too bad you were away. I bought Wint's '68 for $500.00. He needed the cash quick and tried to get ahold of you, but couldn't.
Maybe next time!

Actually, your story would have totally convinced me were it not for the fact that my second week of vacation was spent in Tampa and included a visit with Mr Winter (who assured me that his '68 was alive and well and that he would remember me in his will!)

I'm thinking Andy just didn't have the heart to tell Jeff he sold it to me! I mean, Jeff didn't actually see it, did he?

Well, actually...I didn't see it. He offered me a conjugal visit while it remains incarcerated, but I had a flight to catch.

I suppose he could have been bluffing...

Update time.

I have all hardware (screws / springs) in-hand and have a final price back from the plater. Plating should be done by early next week.

Total price shipped will be $225.00 to lower 48.

I'll work something out with the out-of-country guys.

I'd rather not use pay-pal, but will if that's all you can do.

I have to disclose that, due to an undisclosed manufacturing glitch, the string spacing is about 1/32 tighter. Care must be given when cutting the slots to "cheat" the spacing back out.

If this is an issue, please let me know.

Just out of interest, how will potential string spacing between octave and fundamental string compare to a 4003s8? Many non-Ric 8 strings I've played with individual saddles have had a fairly sizeable gap between the 2 which personally doesn't suit.L

Looks great BTW!

That all depends on how close the slots are cut together. The gaps between each saddle is very minimal, so that will help keep them tight.

They do look very nice. I'm trying to figure out how to translate the spacing from this bridge: http://www.rickresource.com/register/us ... llsize.jpg to that bridge.

I guess the best way to figure it out would just be to have one of Kevin's bridges in my hand though.
