Welcome, Terry!

Of course, to be a member of the club, you have to post pictures!

Welcome Terry. I used to have a Cutlass. Very nice basses, indeed!

Thanks guys, I'll definately have to take some good pics of the 72 and my 92 4003 as well. Actually, my 72 was already in the register. I think it was a collected item that someone added from the ebay auction (LG 628), but those pics arent that great and I was able to get the correct wavy grover to replace the missing one. I'll break the camera out tonight!

Me too. My current "go to" bass at home (not gigging much at the moment - in fact we're never gigging that much these days Image) is my Sei 4, mainly because it plays like a dream and is light as a feather. Band-wise it tends to be my CS; why that is I'm not sure as I think my 72 sounds better and it's lighter too. The action on the CS is lower though. Ironically my 72 (my favourite Ric) and my Alembic (arguably my favourite bass) don't seem to see as much use at the moment; I'm not sure why re the 72, but with the Alembic it's mainly a weight issue.
Interesting reading this 3 years on. The Sei 4 is long gone, as is the CS, as is the Alembic, sadly. My back couldn't cope with the Alembic any more. The good news is my most played bass (although at the moment I have supraspinatus tendonitis in both shoulders and can't really play) is once again my beloved '72 4001.

Thanks to all for the welcome and comments the Ricks. I've had the 4003 since around '98, Buying the FG may have turned me into a Rickenbacker nut because I keep thinking about getting another one, or two or three! It's a dangerous brand to fall in love with.

It seems like my favorite one to play changes from time to time but lately I'm in love with my new-to-me '72 4001. Prior to getting it I was playing my Musicman Clutlass primarily but I think it may have officially lost it's "top spot" status to the Rick.
Welcome to the RR Forum! :D
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!
