New Ric for Christmas!

Post by melibreits »

Wow.... it has happened again....

I was not looking for another Ric and I certainly was not expecting one... Nevertheless, my dear and generous hubby gave me a present today that he wanted me to open early, and imagine my surprise!

Should be fun to play with, although I expect it will be nothing like the real thing....

   Cool!
You'll have to let us know how it compares to the real thing...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I dunno, Mel. It looks pretty strung "out" to me.

Haha.... It even has what looks like wood grain in its plastic fretboard.

My boys are gonna be mad when they open their new video games and see that Mom has taken over their XBox to play on her plastic Ric!

As it is, I need more time to play my real ones! :?

That's about the only one I can afford on Ebay so far. It would be nice if they would list those Guitar Hero ones in a different listing than under "Musical Instruments" so you don't have to scroll past 200 of them to see a real Ric 325.

I actually picked my plastic Ric up for the first time tonight, and went through the tutorials and played a couple of the songs on the "easy" setting.... This was my first time ever playing a "Guitar Hero" type of game. Nothing like the real thing, but kind of fun in a way.... I think I can probably justify using my time better by honing my skills on a real guitar, though. My video game loving kid saw me trying it out, and he decided to jump in and take his turn with it, too.... So Beatles RockBand will be a fun thing for us to learn together. But personally I hope I can coax the kid to learn to play a real guitar....

It's a whole different thing.

I've only played guitar hero a few times but I found that I did better if I closed my eyes and listened.
