John, I did notice that the LED's were kind of hard to see outdoors; fortunately it was cloudy, or it would have been impossible to use my 325 in that performance--I mainly used the foot controller for the "silent tuner" mode between sets of songs, as the Bigsby makes it go out of tune faster than I like at times!
On the previous day I saw another musician on that stage who used a lot of digital loops and layering effects (He had a cool MIDI guitar so he sounded like a whole band all by himself, with no cheesy pre-recorded backups), and I noticed that he had 2-inch rolls of black tape set over the LED's on his foot controls to shield them from the sun....I think I will try that next time I play outdoors.

Will have to try the tape trick. Have an outdoor gig coming up in September. Sometimes we're under a tent or canopy, but the last time we were on a large outdoor stage with no covering. It really rendered the pedal useless. Like your guitar, by the way. I picked up a '92 MG 330 with black hardware. My first Ric. Have wanted one since the mid 60s and after years of playing Fenders decided to make the move. Don't know why I waited so long! Great guitars, and they sound absolutely wonderful through the Valvetronix amps.

For me, Rics and worship just naturally go together.... It is the sweetest sounding offering of praise that I can manage! Jaymi, you're not nuts to use your basses for worship, as long as you're giving the Lord your best with an attitude of praise and thanksgiving.... Our bass player just loves using his V63, and it is a truly joyful noise....sometimes at practice he goes a little nuts with the slapping and clanking.... He is the only person in our group who has ever been a professional musician, and he kind of keeps the mood fun and light when the rest of us start getting too serious about things!

Haven't heard that one yet.... My favorite band is Third Day. Praise and worship that ROCKS. By the way, their lead singer, Mac Powell, sometimes plays a lefty Ric 360. For a while they had a cool photo of Mac with his Ric on their site, but I don't know if it's still there. Another great praise rock band is Delirious, and they sometimes use a Ric, too.
