Neck profile difference between modern era 330 model years?

Anyone know if there would be a neck profile difference between a 1987 330 and one made on 2006 (I understand that the 60's 330's were very slim)?

My 2006 330 has a chunky neck that I like and I seem to remember reading here that earlier 330's were a slimmer neck until around 2000?
