5 String Non-Reverse Epiphone Thunderbird

Post by charlyg »

I picked this up for 250 bucks and I LOVE it. I have an equal passion for both basses I own, both 5 string, but the Epi has P/J pups and I like the tone better than the TB pups Epi used on the 4 string Reverse T-Bird.
The picture is on my Photobucket page, linked below, and I hope to get better pics this weekend.

Anybody else have a history with these basses?

My buddy back in Iowa really digs his, and uses it constantly in his metal band. I have their EB3 bass with black tapewound srtrings I like.
Can't comment on 5 strings though, as everything I love is played on a 4 string.

It's really hard for me to say whether I like the T-bird or the Rick better. I know I always feel at home whichever I pickup that day!

I have really thought about getting one of these just to have a 5-string around. They sure seem nice for the price.
