Well, for what it's worth, we certainly did not stop production of lefty models because we thought it wasn't worth the trouble. It just came down to an engineering question that we are working on right now.

We look forward to ramping up production of our "bread and butter" lefty models in 2011 and then expanding into our other models soon thereafter. The drought is almost over, southpaws!

This was copy/pasted from the corporate forum site from Production Manager Ben. I imagine they are doing as he says and getting some LH basses into production in Q1. Thanks for reaffirming some lefty love, too.

The discussion seemed to degenerate into personal requests, but I am interested to see what comes out. I get to read about the subtleties in the newer RH models, so we'll see how it boils down. Maybe this engineering change will decrease tooling downtime and allow more than bread and butter? I wouldn't mind having a couple dozen "s"-type lefties hit the street, but I can only commit to one.
