Re: Stolen Ric alert
I know Bobbo and Tracy through Kenny! Bobbo came to Ricktoberfest for a while. That's terrible.
I hope she gets it back!

Very upsetting. But really: NEVER LEAVE YOUR INSTRUMENT IN YOUR CAR.
I remember the weird looks I got when I entered my rick with me to a fancy restaurant for a dinner with my wife after getting back from a rehearsal, I couldn't care less - not leaving it in the car, period.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

+1; You just can't do it! I've gotten similar weird looks in similar situations.gibsonlp wrote:Very upsetting. But really: NEVER LEAVE YOUR INSTRUMENT IN YOUR CAR.

Re: Stolen Ric alert
This sucks.
Good stills of the perp though. Doubt I can be of any help, other than a pair of eyes perusing the net... (and specifically eBay...)
Speaking of that, what do we do if this appears on an auction site? Besides the obvious, alerting the owner.

You know, I often notice that if people see someone walking around with a guitar case, anywhere!, they seem to take notice in a good way.gibsonlp wrote:I remember the weird looks I got when I entered my rick with me to a fancy restaurant for a dinner with my wife after getting back from a rehearsal, I couldn't care less - not leaving it in the car, period.

I don't care what anyone thinks about me walking into any kind of restaurant with a guitar. I do it all the time.

Re: Stolen Ric alert
I once left my Fender Jazzmaster in the car after a gig. I had a couple of beers with the bartender, and as I approached my car, I noticed a window was broken. My worst fears were realized. There were TWO Jazzmasters in the car.
Seriously-hope they catch the creep. In my world, stealing a Rick is a capital offense!
How about posting that pic for us non-Facebookers.

Re: Stolen Ric alert
True, in most cases there is a nice smile or even some questions ("How long do you play, are you in a famous band, etc...") but in this specific restaurant the people didn't know how to "eat it" as it was a really expensive one and most of the crowd were older people.cassius987 wrote: You know, I often notice that if people see someone walking around with a guitar case, anywhere!, they seem to take notice in a good way.

Re: Stolen Ric alert
Looking at the picture you posted of the jackplate, I think that the Serial Number is
OF 3216
It is really hard to tell as the metal is corroded.
The finish holes on the back are the best identifier I think Barring a refin it is almost like a fimgerprint
