Music Man Axis

Post by clearblue »

I am contemplating purchasing a Music Man Axis. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Has anyone played one?

Many! Very nice guitars. I have only played ones with Floyd Rose vibratos though, and they're not really my thing. I played a Music Man Albert Lee HH this weekend and was blown away. AWESOME instrument. I also fell in love with the Reflex model after a rep brought it into the shop I work at. VERY usable coil-splitting system; in fact the most usable I have heard yet. They're also chambered. Thinking about ordering a MM this year and it'll probably be the Reflex.

Hey, they make a primo instrument, so if ya like it, and the deal is right, pull the trigger and have a party. I used to work with a guy who had one, and I played it a few times in the shop. Really a well made instrument. :D
Post pics if ya get it!

Thanks for the responses! I've been watching some youtube videos of the Music Man. There's one with a woman playing the Top Gun anthem and she nails it. (The Top Gun anthem recording was done on a Charvel San Dimas by Steve Stevens)
John, I'll have to check out those other models. Would you get the vintage trem option ? :)
