They are as rare in SoCal as snow tires and people who carry jumper cables. Of course, we do have a large fleet of snow plows. We call them 'low riders'. Tom

Have you seen the winter clothes they sell in So Cal? The parkas, gloves, scarves and hats?! I saw one guy not too long ago in a parka in So Cal. It had to be close to 70 degrees! I wanted ask to him if he was expecting a snow storm.

well...24 hours later the major storm that made people go out and buy up all the meat and snowblowers in the area gave us a meer 6" of fluff , slight wind and some icy rain. "is that all you got ? give it your best shot !" (repeat)

It's not nice to tempt Mother Nature, Ron!  Revenge may be more than you can handle. We got about 12" and 35-40 mph winds overnight. I got to use my snow blower for a bit over 2 hours today.

Wow, the snow has gone crazy!

I literally just got back from Cleveland, OH on Sun (quick biz trip), and apparently there are thousands of flights all over the midwest and east coast shut down.

Glad to avoid that mess, but I feel bad for those of you stuck out there in it. Cooooollld too.

Blizzards are kind of like having ghosts in your house.....You just have to show them who's the boss and that they aren't going to get the better of you. Sixteen inches of snow.....not a problem....at least once the road grader had made three or four passes down our street..
