The modfather's bassist is doing a Motown thing with a glorious Ric instrument!

Without saying for sure, I believe that Cii is Montezuma Brown. With the pickups in the "lowered" position, that would put it before 2006 when Amber Fireglo became available. Now, it could be an amberish version of Fireglo, but with the variations of lights, cameras, and computer monitors, it's not easy to tell. Nice figuring in the maple, too!

It could be a Monte...

Whatever it is, it looks and sounds ace! Such a sleek-looking Ric.

It always does my heart good to see a Rickenbacker bass in action, especially a 4004.

The bass player is Andy Lewis,
the last two tours PW has done here in Oz, Andy has used the 4004. On last years tour, he also used a 4003 or 4001 for one song,
good on him. 8)

+1!
I love the Cii's so much, watching those vids did my heart especially good! Thanks for posting them, Noel! Very nice, It looks like a Monty Brown me also. I looks very much like the beauty that Olivia's sold on ebay a few years ago.

Looking at the flame pattern at 0:40 into the video, especially above the neck pickup and above the volume knob, I think this could actually be the bass from Olivia's.

Anyone know how I can obtain a publishable photo of Andy Lewis and make contact to get permission? Finding 4004 artists ain't easy.
