It appears to be a refinished and modified Rickenbacker (the seller does disclose the mods in the text). IMO it is a bit overpriced having the mods it has (even though it does look good).Casiraghi22 wrote:Hmmmm is this a original rickenbacker bass? http://cgi.ebay.com/1973-Rickenbacker-M ... 3364da6784

No wonder I saw other 70's 4001 models and all of them have the trangle thing in the fretborad. but this bass still looks nice.

Hey Nelson,, hang in there! BTDT as they say. I had a wonderful '74 4001 that I owned and played for well over 20 years. Had to sell it and the rest of my equipment to pay bills and keep the family alive, etc. I finally got to where I could get another, a fairly beat up '76 4001. Now I've got 7 Ricks!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Well, it is a REAL Rick, but modified quite a bit. Refinished with new replacement parts, zero fret, and rosewood fingerboard with dots. I would put it in the "custom" department.
