Mix Your Own Version of R.E.M.'s It Happened Today

Post by electrofaro »

A link to sound files is provided for those who know how to actually mix these:

Would be interesting if someone like Mitch would provide his mix of this song.

Downloading now. Awesome. NIN did this a few years back, too. Great tracks to play with.

Ric bass coming soon to an REM recording near you..... 8)

I've never actually heard the song, so any resemblance between this and the released version is purely coincidental.

I used the '68 on it with the toaster only.

Interesting mix, Scott! I bet lots of R.E.M. fans would say your mix shows the band did way too much layering on the song - I was amazed by what's all been hiding in R.E.M.'s original.

Love your deep bass 8)

I like the wall of sound approach occasionally, although I think I took out six tracks or so. I may have overplayed, but I liked the toaster sound on it.
