Amy, best of luck with recording the new disc. Can't wait to hear what is next for Clatter. You gotta get out here to North Dakota next tour (though nobody comes here..lol). Shameless plug for our Air Force Base here in Minot, ND. If you ever want to come to the base to play, I'll be the person in charge to raise funds. There are a TON of musicians on the base here. We'd love to have you guys.

We would come to ND in a heartbeat!! Seriously, keep us in mind…we already plotted out the route from here and think it would be a blast to play for you guys! :)

In the meantime, we completely lost our minds this morning and booked a flight on Tuesday to…Scotland!!! In our almost 22 years of marriage this will be our first "real" vacation, meaning a trip we're taking that doesn't involve seeing family or playing music. Since it's the off season the prices are dirt cheap, and we don't mind the cold and damp! :D It feels weird to wake up one morning and decide to leave the country, but it's exciting, too!

SO…finally taking a break and getting some time away, then we can get down to serious work on the new album. Right now, though, I can hear Joe drumming from here; guess I'll go out and join him!

Thanks!!! Rocking out to Gletscher right now – awesome!!

Our efforts to actually complete recordings have been thwarted over the past 6 months, but we have various songs in different levels of completion, so at least we're making progress!

Here's the one closest to being done; it was mixed by former Jellyfish bass player Chris Manning. It needs some more tweaks but at least it's close! And features the Ric, of course! :D

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Okay, please disregard my last link because that mixing situation wasn't working out. Now we have a NEW mix and are out of our minds with excitement because we're working with Sylvia Massy, someone we've wanted to work with a long time. Most people know her for her work on the first 2 Tool records, but she's also worked with RHCP, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash. We sent her our audio tracks and she and her partner, Rich Veltrop, came up with this mix that was just perfect. You can hear it here: http://bit.ly/IZgZc6

Now we're working on recording the rest of the songs here in our Chicken House studio and will send it all off for mixing next month. We'll have an August 1 release. And hopefully get back on the road soon after! It's been YEARS! Maybe we'll see some of you in person?!?!?

Paul Boyer said it was okay to share this photo with you – I thought you all would get a kick out of it! It may or may not be in his super-awesome Ric book, depending on space, but I'm just thrilled he would even consider me! :D

Joe took this of me on our farm last fall:
