AmpliTube
Re: AmpliTube
I had it on my protools setup. If you have a sansamp pedal and a reverb plugin you will be far better off.....

Re: AmpliTube
Thanks Eden, I had put it on my iphone and haven't yet fooled with it.

How do you like it on your iphone?
Re: AmpliTube
I have an Amplitube 1, 2 and 3 and can't imagine recording without it. The presets are generally designed to sound good solo but don't fit into a mix well. If you treat each amp as a real amp and turn the knobs it works great. If you just use the presets you may or may not find it useful. I also use Guitar Rig as well, but I have gotten comfortable with the Amplitube interface. I am a big IK fan overall for home recording. Once you are a customer you can buy everything at a discount.

Re: AmpliTube
I've got Amplitube on both my iPhone and iPad. It's more useful on the iPad due to the larger interface. I've just begun to work with it and last night updated it to the Fender package, which has 5 Fender amp models plus five Fender effects, in addition to all the amps, cabs, and effects of the original. Metronome, tuner, song up/downloading, tempo change without pitch change, and a dozen presets with the ability to modify or replace them.
The neatest part of the iPad application is the RECORDING setup, which features a digital eight-track with an old reel-to-reel interface, bounce/mixdown for all tracks, 2 sends, and volume/panpots for each besides. There are reverb/chorus/delay on each send, and a parametric EQ and compressor. All the graphic interfaces are straightforward. I'm using it with an iRig, and haven't tried all my guitars yet. My only gripe so far is that the manipulation of the rotary knobs is not all that easy. Where are the sliders?
I've also discovered ImproVox, which is a vocal mod/pitch/harmony generator that's intuitive.

Re: AmpliTube
I too am new to this and am still exploring all of the bells and whistles but overall am really enjoying what I've seen so far. To echo Paul, the "knobs" are a nice visual but not easy to use. Sliders would be an improvement. (I might add the same for GarageBand and it's amp setting interface)
But overall I can see this would be a very handy tool I hope to get more out of soon.
Best,
Manta

Re: AmpliTube
I used it for the first time last night and it was fun! To think that this is my phone! Enough Marvel, it sounds good! Started to experiment with recording and I like it, I've got alot to learn. The visual is very pleasing and yes, the knobs are a bit difficult, slides would be an improvement. I would imagine on the iPad it would be larger and easier to manipulate. I can't believe the sound quality.
Re: AmpliTube
I just noticed if you tap a knob on the amp you can adjust it by the yellow lighted slide. I wonder if that holds true for the rest?
Re: AmpliTube
I download AmpliTube to my iPhone earlier today. Haven't used yet. Will probably take Paul's advice and load it on the iPad.

Re: AmpliTube
BTW, the interface cable that I have is one from Peterson Tuners as I also have iStroboSoft on the iPhone. Do you think it would be advantage in having an iRig too?

Re: AmpliTube
I love my iphone, I find it easy to use. I use the irig and have little experience with it and zero with anything else. I'm sure there are many here who know what's good and bad.whojamfan wrote:How do you like it on your iphone?
