NMD!

New mandola day, that is. The Man in Brown brought me one of these today:

It's very cute, and very loud. I cannot find any cosmetic flaw anywhere. It could do with a little setup work - the bridge saddles are set low, and the action's a tad high, but a little neck shim will take care of that.

Here's one being played by someone who, unlike me, actually knows what to do with it:

Quick update - I decided I couldn't live with the action the way it was, and didn't want to shim the neck on a brand-new instrument.

So I emailed Eastwood - the owner responded within an hour, told me they'd ship me a replacement, along with the appropriate labels to send the original back, at no extra cost to me.

The new one arrived today, and it's perfect.

Kudos for great customer service - and no, I have absolutely nothing to do with this company.
